High Line Reconstruction Project
C.A.C. constructed a park on top of the elevated High Line freight rail line. New Yorkers and tourists alike now experience this unique artistic aesthetic with architectural designs and new landscaping that combined cannot be recreated anywhere in the country.
The project included 2 new elevators, rehabilitating 23rd and 30th St., 4 types of stairs, precast concrete planks, custom lights, and irrigation while incorporating the old freight rails into the new landscape. The different materials used to complete the High Line project came from countries all over the world. For example, the glass used on the project came from Mexico, the mesh from Austria, the reclaimed wood from Indonesia and the elevator panels were from Canada.
