Cross Bronx Expressway SOE Installation

CAC Industries, Inc was chosen by one of one of NYC’s largest utility companies to install a 48” casing pipe under one of the most congested highways in country. 

There were many unexpected ground conditions that our team had to overcome along the way to complete SOE and 285’ of casing installation. Utilizing a Horizontal Hammer Bore (HBB) by Geonex the casing was installed through rock boulders & dense clay.  Casing completion was followed by the installation of a 36” gas pipe and associated shaft risers. 

Our team did an amazing job getting this project to the finish line and pushing through unexpected conditions while still completing work on time.
