PROJECT SECTORS
BRIDGES & TUNNELS
CAC specializes in the construction and rehabilitation of pedestrian and vehicular bridges, as well as the deep foundations, substructures, and approach work that support them. Our expertise extends seamlessly into tunnel environments, where we perform structural upgrades, utility integration, and complex civil work in constrained and urban conditions.
MASS TRANSIT & RAIL
CAC delivers complex infrastructure improvements within active transit stations and railyards, including ADA upgrades, state-of-good-repair programs, and work on elevated and live transit lines. We routinely perform construction in and around passenger platforms—executing critical upgrades, structural improvements, and coordination-intensive activities while maintaining safe, uninterrupted transit operations.
HIGHWAYS & ROADWAYS
CAC has delivered complex roadway and highway improvements across some of the region’s most congested corridors, consistently maintaining traffic through sophisticated MPT schemes and phased construction. Our team is experienced in executing work safely and efficiently in active urban environments, supporting agencies such as NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and Westchester County with reliable, high-quality results.
TREATMENT PLANTS & MAINTENANCE FACILITIES
CAC is actively delivering a range of treatment plant and maintenance facility improvements, including process, mechanical, and civil upgrades. Our current portfolio is highlighted by a new groundwater treatment facility for a private client as well as the construction of numerous new maintenance facilities for the MTA in the metropolitan area—demonstrating our ability to execute technically complex work, integrate advanced treatment systems, and meet stringent regulatory and performance requirements.
RESILIENCY
Demand for storm hardening and climate-resilient infrastructure continues to grow, and CAC has met this need by delivering some of the region’s largest and most complex floodwall and resiliency projects. Our work includes reinforced flood protection systems, coastal and riverfront defenses, and critical infrastructure upgrades designed to safeguard communities and maintain functionality during extreme weather events.
MARINE
CAC is currently focused on building marine construction work such as rehabilitating and reconstructing esplanades and bulkheads. Our resources and infrastructure strongly position us for rapid growth in this sector.
VERTICAL CONSTRUCTION & FOUNDATIONS
CAC has extensive experience constructing the foundational elements that support bridges, buildings, and abutments, including deep foundations, structural concrete, and complex subgrade work. Our capabilities extend into vertical construction, where we erect buildings and other vertical structures with the same precision, coordination, and quality that define our heavy-civil expertise.

Our Energy Division has grown into one of the leading energy and utility contractors in the metropolitan area, delivering critical infrastructure for both public and private clients. DELIVERY METHODS
Design-Build
(Traditional, Progressive)

CAC delivers both Traditional and Progressive Design-Build projects, integrating design and construction to streamline delivery and enhance collaboration. Through Traditional Design-Build, we provide cost-certain, performance-driven solutions backed by our heavy-civil expertise and advanced technologies—including modeling and digital coordination tools—to ensure efficient, constructible designs. In Progressive Design-Build, we partner closely with owners and designers from the earliest stages, leading an integrated design team, proactively managing risk, and using open-book estimating to guide decisions that improve cost, schedule, and quality. Once the design is sufficiently developed, we negotiate a transparent Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) or lump sum, ensuring fairness, predictability, and alignment with project goals. Across both models, CAC fosters a highly interactive, solutions-oriented environment that leverages innovation, real-time constructability input, and strong designer partnerships to deliver high-quality infrastructure with greater speed, transparency, and value.
